Upriver Social House is a farm-to-table restaurant in the heart of downtown Chilliwack, BC. We are located at 9254 Nowell Street — a heritage building that has stood on this corner long enough to watch the Fraser Valley grow into something remarkable.

The name says everything about what we believe. To go upriver is to resist the easy current. To move toward the source. To seek out something wilder and more nourishing than what the mainstream offers. It is the same instinct that sends our kitchen team to call a farmer at six in the morning before writing the day’s menu. The same instinct that has us curing our own salmon, rolling pasta by hand each morning, and building every dish around what arrived at our back door today — not last week.

We source from the Fraser Valley because it is one of the most extraordinary food-producing regions in Canada. The farms around Chilliwack grow world-class produce. The rivers and waters off our coast deliver some of the finest seafood anywhere. The ranchers and dairies within an hour of our kitchen are producing ingredients that deserve to be celebrated — not flown in from somewhere else.

Our menu changes with the seasons because the valley does. We list our suppliers proudly because the people who grow and raise our food are as much a part of this restaurant as anyone in our kitchen.

We are an upscale casual restaurant, which means we take the food seriously and the pretension not at all. Come as you are. Bring the people you love. Order the lamb rack and the pasta and the pavlova. Stay as long as you like.
